Description

Blogger is being a dick and won't let me add my blog description even though it is less than 500 characters and I'm sick of wasting all my fucking time just trying to do this one basic thing - so I'll just post my blog description in my first post:

My e(strange)d wife has long complained that I'm "not doing the things that need to be done" & I'm not someone she can "depend on to help with the decisions & doing...the really heavy, stressful stuff" & that she is "the only one who sees things that need to be done & does them". But I can't do things & then point them out to her, because that would seem like I'm doing these things for the wrong reason. So this will be my evidence vault, should I ever need it.

I woke up late, but from 11:30 AM - 1 PM, I sharpened the mower blade and ran 3 loads of compost to the compost site, including all the sticks from the April 20 post, and a bunch of sticks from the south side of the house that had been gathering for a couple of years. From 3-4, I continued working in the garden, digging up several trees from the Mini-Kinni, and clearing old dame's rocket-type sticks and creeping charlie and grass from the vegetable beds and raspberry patch. Catch-up: early- to mid-April

So I got the idea for this blog today (April 20), but I've done some impressive shit over the past week, so I thought I'd document this past stuff now, and then try to keep current going forward. I've done other good shit too (like organizing the shed, seeding and fertilizing the lawn, cleaning the clutter from the office, scheduling and taking Neo to the vet on my own, cleaning the desk on Serena's side of the bed, etc.), but I don't remember the dates: In early April, I picked up all the fallen sticks in the yard and fertilized the lawn. On Sunday, April 16 (Easter), I cleaned the front garden beds, freeing many covered crocuses. On Monday, April 17 (or maybe Tuesday, April 18 - can't remember for sure), I cleaned and organized the pantry/laundry room. Today, I was going to let Phoenix drive into Hudson, but I woke him after noon and said we would be need to go in 1 hour. He was still asleep 1 hour later, so I went on my own. I got replacement bulbs and vacuum bags at Fleet Farm, lots of juice an Dollar Tree, and seven bags of mulch and some flowers (mulvina, maybe?) at Home Depot. Serena seemed upset when I got back that I had left without Phoenix, but I explained what happened, and that I would take him out after she went into work. After that, I helped cook potatoes since she was making hash and soup. Once she went into work, I had Phoenix drive me out into the country, south of the city, and showed him the castle house. We then went to Dick's and got some chili brats - they're from Johnsonville, but we were bonding so I think it's OK. After we ate, I hung Serena's laundry on the line outside.
